System and Networking Engineer

Role and Responsibilities

• Maintain, administer, and support enterprise computer networks and related computing environments, including system software, application software, hardware, and network configurations.
• Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure such as LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, routers, switches, security systems, storage, and backup solutions. 
• Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems (Linux/Windows), network devices, and cloud-based environments. 
• Implement, monitor, and troubleshoot network, system, and security infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability. 
• Manage network security controls, including firewalls, VPNs, access control, and security policies to protect systems and data. 
• Understand and work with application transport and network infrastructure protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, SMTP, etc.). 
• Create and maintain accurate network diagrams, technical documentation, and configuration records for design, planning, and operational purposes. 
• Monitor system and network performance using diagnostic, monitoring, and analytics tools; proactively identify and resolve issues. 
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to plan upgrades, enhancements, and capacity improvements. 
• Quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, platforms, and products using documentation and online resources. 
• Provide technical support, incident response, and root cause analysis for system and network-related issues.
